Venue Hire - Add a Reception

Must be purchased alongside a Bateman's Barn ceremony package taking place on the same day.

Designed to dovetail perfectly with your indoor or outdoor wedding ceremony, our add-a-reception package is ideal for extending your special day without adding to the worry of ‘what ifs..?’

From catering and cake to overnight glamping or guest-room stays (if situations permit) this venue hire extension opens up all sorts of opportunities.  

Our flexible and friendly venue hire formula means that your celebrations can still go ahead and your wedding party feel welcome, whether it numbers 17 or 70. And don’t worry, should situations change and you find yourselves needing to scale things up or down or in a position to encourage guests to stay over, we can generally assist or accommodate that too.  

Together with our experience, the extensive grounds and facilities at Bateman’s Barn, including our well-ventilated barn and courtyard marquee, can easily ensure that everyone has the appropriate space they need to relax, be part of the celebrations and really enjoy themselves. 

Duration of Additional Hire:  4 hours from the end of your wedding ceremony
Guests: Up to max.120 
Available: 1st May – 30th September - Saturdays & Wednesdays only (starting between 2pm and 6pm)

• Extends venue decoration /set-up period to 1 full day (day before - includes ceremony rehearsal)  
• Wedding Reception up to 4 hours starting from end of wedding ceremony
• All clearing up / take-down done by venue.

Guests: 15 - 30     Venue Additional Hire Package Price: on application 
Guests: 31 -50      Venue Additional Hire Package Price: on application
Guests: 51 -70+      Venue Additional Hire Package Price: on application

Please note: Venue hire prices do not include registrar or celebrant fees. 
Prices valid until end of 2022. All of our prices include VAT.

Facilities

• Catering kitchen 5* hygiene rating for licensed caterers' use only. 
Crockery and cutlery, staff for food service to be supplied by caterer.

You’ll find licensed caterer suggestions in our recommended list of local suppliers.

• Ample parking, disabled access •  Loos • Baby changing facilities & high chairs
•  Chivari Beechwood limewashed chairs with cream seat pad or Strawbales (outside only)
• Top table and round tables for reception (up to 70 guests) • All table and bar glasses
• Sound system for playing recorded music

• Wedding cake facility – Organise your cake to share and we’ll provide the display facility:  cake table (rustic wood or with white cloth), large log-slice cake stands, cake knife.  All supplies for distributing cake to be supplied by client or caterer.  

We also offer a selection of props and useful accessories for décor which you are welcome to use, including: 
• Easels, large and small rustic wood • Rustic wooden trestle tables in various sizes
• Traditional vintage bunting or delicate lace and hessian bunting
• A couple of traditional milk churns  • Numerous baskets and wooden boxes
• Straw bales • Our beautiful old pony trap
• 
We'll even take you foraging on our farm for extra flowers and greenery if you like!

Support

• Wedding planning support at venue before & through the entire wedding weekend. Includes two front of house staff to run the event, plus bar staff and ceremony rehearsal on set up day.

• Recommended list of local suppliers

 From wedding caterers, photographers, celebrants, florists etc.
to transport and accommodation providers - hotels, local B&Bs, campsites etc.
