"Bateman’s Barn was simply the first and only venue we looked around when planning our wedding.
Even though it was not an ideal sort of day (actually a torrential thunderstorm!) when we first visited, we immediately knew this was the right venue for us - a beautiful barn with a marquee attached set in the gorgeous Suffolk countryside, with friendly and helpful owners who were very supportive with helping us plan our big day!"

"The experience and expertise of Nicole and John was very much welcomed during the planning process - we were given lots of information, recommended suppliers and all of our quirky requests were accommodated!
They even recommended the brewer down the round to brew us a cask of beer for the day - which was a hit with our guests!"
An ideal island place to stay & just perfect for the day
"The day before the wedding Katy stayed in South Elmham Hall with her bridesmaids and started the wedding day with a delicious hearty cooked breakfast in the barn.
Everything on the day ran like clockwork, no detail was missed and luckily we had brilliant bright sunshine the whole day. There were literally no stresses or hiccups the whole day long, and all of our guests were so happy!
Our photographer Hannah Hall captured the beauty of the venue and the relaxed happy vibe of the day perfectly - from the rustic barn, to the open fields, to the medieval ruins."

"We were able to customise the barn with our hand made decorations making it the perfect whimsical venue!
For our wedding breakfast we opted for an afternoon tea which was so delicious, all of our guests dietary needs were catered for and everyone told us how much they loved the food!
Later on in the evening we had a wood fired pizza van come and serve bespoke pizzas into the night, whilst our band and DJ played the night away!
We loved our wedding day and wish we could do it all over again!"
