The Most Perfect Day
From the first consultation Nicole was amazing. She helped us organise everything and paid attention to the smallest detail. Without Nicole we would have forgotten so many things.
The venue is stunning, the beautiful grounds inspired us immediately as to how we wanted the day to be. We were given such freedom when setting up the day before and both John and Nicole helped so much with everything.
The wedding day was perfect. Every guest kept telling us how amazing everything was and there was such an ease surrounding the place which made everyone feel comfortable and needed for nothing. The ceremony in the barn was beautiful and just how I had pictured it would be, even better if I’m honest.
The wedding reception in the courtyard marquee was amazing - it’s such a light and intimate space allowing our guests to completely relax, enjoy every moment and listen to the speeches in complete privacy, as all the staff just melted away once the toast drinks were poured.
There was never any obvious pressure to be somewhere else or to be keeping to a timetable, its like time just slowed down but somewhere quietly in the background I knew Nicole was there keeping all on track.
The grounds looked stunning and so our photos are gorgeous, and our memories are beautiful. What a brilliant decision to have our wedding at Batemans Barn.
Wedding host Nicole remembers
Nikita and Jonny’s table centres were my favourites of the year, beautiful little squares of woven flowery meadow, utterly unique, which they put together on the setup day with help from friends.
But they didn’t stop there with the unique ideas as they also decorated the front of the top table with hundreds of fresh petals which had to be glued on individually. I manged to help here by getting a couple of tablecloths from the lovely and always helpful Anglia Elite Banquet hire, which they were happy for us to ruin. The finished effect was stunning.
I absolutely love being able to help our couples realise their ideas, even after nearly 20 years the couples their families, friends and suppliers keep surprising me with new, fun and exciting styling - it's what makes being a wedding day host a real privilege - it’s something special, something to be treasured and very inspiring too.
