We fell in love with Batemans Barn from the moment we saw it. Historical, stunning, private and completely unique. It exceeded our expectations in every way possible.

 

All the other barns we viewed were beautiful, but just one big barn! Batemans barn and its sunny sheltered courtyard of beautiful buildings is just perfect for an intimate wedding allowing your day to flow perfectly.

There is a pretty light filled marquee right next to the barn for the wedding breakfast and evening food hub. A ‘chill out’ sofa area for those who want to get away from the dance floor and be comfy, a bar area- which used to be the stables, that acts like a ‘mini pub.’ (It’s fully stocked too and not one of the usual pop-up wedding bars that run out of drinks after half an hour!)

 

All these quirky connected buildings work perfectly in making sure people aren’t on top of each other the whole time. It made our wedding feel super relaxed and we had so many comments from friends and family on how great Batemans barn worked throughout the day

 

The grounds are breathtaking too with acres of space and scenic viesta backgrounds for photos. Including meadows, ancient trees, a gorgeous romantic ruin and a lovely old farmhouse to sleep over. Everything is so characterful and charming.

 

Nicole and John (the barn owners) are just wonderful. They go above and beyond to make the day go as smoothly as possible. Nothing is ever too much for them! And Nicole answers all your questions to make you feel at ease. We had many meet ups ahead of the wedding to discuss our plans.

Nicole helped us set up and dress everything the day before and organised a rehearsal to make sure the ceremony ran smoothly. She even guided our groomsmen and bridesmaids to avoid any awkward moments of guests not knowing where to go or what’s happening next.

The next day everything was cleared away without us having to touch a thing! And we were greeted with the most delicious breakfast. (Proper sausages and bacon too.. yummy!!) We wish we could do it all over again.

 

If you’re thinking of getting married then go and have a look around. Photos really don’t do it justice and we know you won’t be disappointed.
