A Truly Perfect Location!
We were so lucky to find this lovely venue and even more surprised when we booked straight away.
We had decided to spend two years planning the wedding, so with this in mind, we were in no rush but thought it would be fun to look at some venues for our future plans. After visiting a few locations we were very much ready to sit back and wait until we were actually ready to start booking, but then...
...that’s when we came across Bateman's Barn. We decided it would be our one last location to visit. We turned up on a warm winter evening as the sun was setting behind the trees on the meadow and that was it, our minds were made up!
We just decided we could not wait, so our two year plan was now in tatters with a booking only seven months away at this amazing barn. Best choice we made!
The next seven months that followed were full of what I’m sure every couple goes through... Is this the perfect dress? Is this the right food? Who do we invite?
We were never stressed - there was always something to do or to be decided upon, but through it all, Nicole was always there on-hand - always helpful and always calm - and we just knew that we were always in safe hands. I imagine Nicole has seen it all, so any of our worries or concerns were just solved and all were dealt with so easily.
When the wedding day dawned, we knew we had absolutely nothing to worry about and could really enjoy the whole experience. Nicole and her team seem to be everywhere in all the best ways - never intrusive, but always on hand for us and our guests, making sure that everything ran smoothly, from helping with our decorations and the timings throughout the day to setting up our sweet-bar and liasing with our suppliers. There was nothing the team missed.
To summarise:
• Wedding planning and set up was a breeze
• Location is ten out of ten with lovely spaces indoors and outdoors (we were lucky with wonderful weather)
• The ceremony was perfect in the gorgeous barn, with live music, then drinks, games and canapés in the sun around the grounds just so nice and relaxing
• Food in the light airy covered courtyard dining area (so much space, yet small enough to be intimate for the speeches and the friendly jeering!)
The space was then perfectly and speedily transitioned for our Hypnotism Comedy Show - a first for the barn and a massive hit with the guests.
• Back to the ceremony barn for the first dance and cake
• Then outside for the marshmallows and fire-pit...
You could really feel how versatile the barn was, giving people a place to party until the end of the day - and plenty of places for people to have a quiet sit down as well.
As you can tell, we were very happy with our choice to have Batemans as our wedding location. We would like to thank Nicole, John and the team for making our day so special!
We stayed over the weekend with our close family, friends and bridesmaids and enjoyed a delicious special breakfast on Sunday morning which once again met the high standards we had come to expect.
