A wonderful gem in idyllic Suffolk

We'd like to tell you about our special day at this wonderful gem - we found in an idyllic part of Suffolk - an oh so charming barn with bags of history, which we so loved, beyond our imaginations.

We had been trying to picture the place - like buying a house, we didn't really know exactly what we were looking for, but knew we would feel it and know... this is the place.

We were led by our hearts, but guided by Nicole and John who let us have freedom to be ourselves, whilst making sure we had covered all the practicalities.

We knew what would suit us. We were looking for somewhere with character, but a place we could also make our own for the weekend - a place full of love and passion, a place loved and cherished already with support, advice and help but a light touch too.

We found all that and more at Bateman's Barn, not forgetting John and Nicole who were kind and calm from the first viewing to post wedding breakfast...They made us feel so very special in every way.

A backdrop of beautiful romantic and unique ruins...looking across the rolling meadows of their organic farm contrasting with the perfect warm barn and pretty courtyard and gardens...somewhere for all our guests to feel at home.

A day to remember forever.....which we are still talking about a year later.
