Tranquil & Peaceful Location
Having looked at various venues across Suffolk, when we arrived at Bateman's Barn we were immediately struck by its tranquil, peaceful location. Nicole was on hand to greet us with a smile and relaxed manner, quickly putting us at ease and very happy to answer our questions.
Unlike other venues we viewed, all areas of the barn, house and grounds were available and open for us to view, in order to make an informed decision. Nicole suggested we take a wander through the grounds to chat further - although our minds were already made up!
Little touches made our decision very easy - from music playing at the barn as we arrived, the invitation to really take our time looking round and the pack of info and suggestions for a wide variety of recommendations for trusted suppliers; to the knowledge that having held more than five hundred ceremonies; the only thing which we couldn't control would be the weather!
Booking the venue was straightforward and Nicole has been readily available to answer any questions we've had as we approach our big day. We were able to come to barn as often as we liked to meet with Nicole and John and run through the details of the day, to meet with our chosen suppliers, have a recce with our photographer and try out various table decorations.
When the day finally dawned we were so excited, but relaxed knowing Nicole and her team would be doing all the hard work. Indeed it was the best day ever, from the flower foraging in the farm's own meadows on the set up day, to the candle-lit photos in the ruins at the end.
We cannot express our thanks to you enough for giving us the space and support to make our day our own, for making our family and friends so welcome (they loved the foraging) and helping us incorporate all our wacky ideas. You are just brilliant.
